Catering Assistant Manager Southland Trade Corporaton 141 Caratoke Highway, Moyock, NC 27958 Catering Assistant Manager Southland Restaurant and Catering – Moyock ,NC Full-Time | Competitive Pay | Growth Opportunity Southland Restaurant and Catering is looking for a reliable and experienced Catering Assistant Manager to help lead our growing off-site and in-house catering operations. This is a fast-paced, hands-on leadership role ideal for someone who thrives under pressure, has a deep understanding of Southern cuisine, and knows how to manage large food orders and events with precision and hospitality.
What You’ll Do:
Respond to all catering inquiries (email and phone) quickly and professionally Enter and manage catering orders in our POS system (Toast or similar) Help plan and execute off-site events, deliveries, and large group orders Oversee large-batch food prep , portion planning, and packaging Supervise and assist staff during event prep, deliveries, and service Problem-solve day-of challenges (timing, staffing, equipment, etc.) Maintain inventory, equipment, and event readiness Ensure ServSafe and food safety compliance at all times
Who We’re Looking For:
2+ years catering or restaurant experience (supervisory or lead role preferred) Comfortable with Southern-style cooking and portion scaling for groups Proficient in POS systems and payment handling Calm under pressure with excellent time management and communication skills Able to lift 50 lbs and work flexible hours (including early mornings, weekends, and event nights) ServSafe Manager Certified (or willing to obtain within 30 days) Valid driver’s license preferred
