The New Hampshire Food Bank is currently seeking a dynamic individual to join our team (40 hours/week) as a Utility / Prep Food Service Worker with the Recipe for Success Program (RFS). They are primarily responsible for general kitchen maintenance and food prep. Duties Assume responsibility for ensuring that the RFS Kitchen is kept clean and in good order Assist Chefs with food preparation as guided to include washing, cutting, mixing, cooking, cooling, panning, assembling, wrapping and delivering when necessary. Ware washing, washing and sanitizing dishes according to proper approved techniques and ensuring items get stored in their appropriate places. Upkeep and maintain all surfaces of the kitchen and food storage areas in a sanitary condition following approved methods Break down and remove all cardboard for recycling, remove trash and composting Provide support to the Chefs and students when necessary to break down, clean and sanitize kitchen equipment Assist with various RFS events as scheduled; including catered events, fundraising events and food truck events, etc.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required ServSafe Food Protection Manager’s Certificate or the ability to obtain within 90 days, required Food prep/cooking knowledge and experience using knives and commercial kitchen equipment Must have knife and cooking skills as well as an ability to follow directions Experience or training in a fast-paced commercial kitchen environment
