Full Job Description Summary:
The Food Service Aide will be responsible for assisting with the preparation, serving, and clean-up of meals in a food service setting. They will work under the supervision of a food service manager or cook to ensure that all meals are prepared and served according to established standards.
Responsibilities:
Assist with the preparation of meals, including chopping vegetables, preparing salads, and cooking basic dishes Serve meals to customers in a cafeteria or dining room setting Assist with cleaning dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment, including wiping down counters, sweeping floors, and disposing of trash Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines, including wearing appropriate protective gear and using proper food handling techniques Assist with inventory management, including ordering supplies and stocking shelves Provide excellent customer service to all patrons, including answering questions and addressing concerns
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent Previous experience in a food service setting preferred Ability to follow instructions and work in a fast-paced environment Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds Familiarity with basic food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment Knowledge of safety and sanitation guidelines for food handling and preparation.
Schedule:
10:15am•2:15pm Monday•Friday Works on student contact days
Wage:
$15.69•$18.32 per hour
