Banquet Set Up Prepares facilities for meetings and banquet events per client’s requirements, i.e. move and place tables, chairs, risers, tablecloths and skirting, audio visual equipment. Cleans function rooms before and after meetings and banquets, as part of the Banquet’s team. Essential Functions

• Ability to read and interpret Banquet Event Orders and Room Diagrams, handle multiple tasks, and maintain a friendly outgoing personality.
• Report for work punctually wearing the correct uniform and name badge at all times.
• Maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene at all times
• Provide courteous and professional service at all times.
• Placing tables, chairs, risers etc. per meeting specifications, or diagram layout.
• Dust, sweep, vacuum, and mopping of convention rooms and banquet areas
• Open and close air walls as needed to accommodate client room needs. Responsibilities
• Sets up banquet room as instructed by Banquet Manager
• Ensures all banquet equipment is maintained for proper functioning and cleanliness, this includes tables, chairs, risers, chaffers, easels etc.
• Resets banquet room after each event according to Banquet Manager’s direction
• Follows all safety and sanitation rules and practices Qualifications
• High School diploma or GED preferred
• Previous experience preferred
• Able to bend, kneel, squat, stand and lift heavy objects as needed
• Excellent communications skills, verbal and written
• Helpful attitude and friendly demeanor
• Ability to work as part of a team and also be a self-starter
