We still have ala carte service at our restaurants, Osteria 166 and Villaggio, but we have developed into the premier catering operation in the region. Our Captains are an integral part of our operations. You will be the lead of your event, with proper training of course, and will be the one to ensure the guests are thrilled, and our team delivers what we promise. We have our own catering facility in Grand Island (opening July 2025) and also do events throughout the region at many of the premier locations in the region. Banquet Captain Duties:
  • Oversee and coordinate all aspects of banquet events, including set-up, food service, and clean-up
  • Ensure that all banquet staff are properly trained and follow established procedures
  • Interact with guests to ensure their satisfaction and address any concerns or issues
  • Manage inventory of banquet supplies and equipment, including linens, dishes, and glassware
  • Work with the food production team to ensure that all food is prepared and presented according to established standards
  • Assist with bartending duties as needed, including preparing and serving drinks
  • Coordinate with hotel management and other departments to ensure that all events run smoothly
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a hotel or catering environment
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage a team effectively
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Knowledge of food production and service techniques
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
  • Must be at least 21 years old for bartending duties
