Server Assistant/Banquet Server Brookfield Country Club Position Overview:

Brookfield Country Club is seeking a dedicated and motivated Server Assistant/Banquet Server to join our team. This position plays an integral role in delivering outstanding service to our members and guests by supporting servers during A la carte dining and servicing banquet events. The ideal candidate will be energetic, team-oriented, and committed to upholding the Brookfield steps of service.

Key Responsibilities:

Server Assistant Duties:

Refill water glasses, assist with beverage service as needed, and ensure that all tables are properly set for service. Pre-set silverware, and assist with flipping and resetting tables for the next course or event. Follow Brookfield’s steps of service, including crumbing tables, folding napkins, marking silverware for subsequent courses, and proper clearing of plate ware. Provide bread service for guests and assist servers with various tasks as required to ensure a smooth dining experience. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring that service stations are stocked and ready.

Banquet Server Duties:

Cross-trained to assist with banquet events for members, including room set-up and buffet preparation. Ensure proper placement of buffet items, and assist with replenishing food and beverages during events. Assist with clearing plates, glassware, and utensils during and after events, ensuring a tidy and efficient space. Support the team in the overall execution of member events, ensuring that all tasks are completed in a timely and professional manner.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in a service-oriented role (preferred but not required). Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with a team. Ability to follow instructions and adapt quickly to different tasks. Flexible schedule, with availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Positive attitude, professionalism, and a commitment to exceptional guest service.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand, walk, and carry trays or other items for extended periods. Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs. Must be able to move quickly and efficiently during events.
