Weekend Cafe Attendant Job Description:

As a Cafe attendant at our small cafe, you will play a crucial role in creating a delightful experience for our residents and guests. Your friendly demeanor, attention to detail, and passion for delivering exceptional service will contribute to the overall positive atmosphere of our cafe.

Key Responsibilities:

Greet and Assist:

Welcome customers with a warm and friendly demeanor, take food and drink orders, and provide helpful information about menu items.

Beverage Preparation:

Expertly prepare and serve a variety of hot beverages, ensuring each cup meets our high standards of quality and presentation.

Baked Goods:

Prepare and serve a selection of delicious baked goods, maintaining freshness and appealing presentation.

Customer Engagement:

Answer customer inquiries regarding menu options, ingredients, and provide recommendations to enhance their experience.

Sales Promotion:

Actively promote and recommend menu options to customers, upselling when appropriate to increase overall sales.

Payment Handling:

Efficiently and accurately process customer payments using our POS system.

Inventory Management:

Maintain inventory levels, monitor stock, and notify management of any replenishment needs.

Equipment Maintenance:

Ensure all equipment is clean, well-maintained, and in good working order.

Sanitation and Organization:

Keep the work environment sanitary and organized, adhering to health and safety standards.

Requirements:

Previous experience as a barista or in a similar customer service role is preferred. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality service. Knowledge of health and safety standards in a food service setting.
