We are currently seeking a Server Assistant / Food Runner to join our hospitality team and support the Front-of-House (FOH) and Back-of-House (BOH) teams during events and daily service.

Role Overview:

As a Server Assistant at NEXUS, you will assist with food running, table maintenance, and general service support—delivering each task with efficiency, professionalism, and a positive attitude.

Seasonal Position:

Due to slower Club traffic during July and August, this role is currently listed as seasonal.

Environment:

Must be adaptable to various service settings and flexible with changing priorities during events or regular service. Primary Duties

• Provide a high level of genuine hospitality to every member and guest at all times throughout the day and spaces.
• Assist the Chef’s team with setting up the pass (plate wipes, ketchup/syrup ramekins for lunch and brunch service, etc.).
• Polish and restock glassware.
• Polish silverware.
• Clearly communicate member/guest progression through meals with the Chef’s team.
• Assist the FOH team with tasks (bussing, refilling water, etc.).
• Maintain complete understanding of culinary menus including ingredients, sides, presentation, and possible allergens.
• Treat every member, guest, employee, and vendor with respect, dignity, and kindness.
• Uphold the values, mission, and standards set forth by NEXUS Club New York.
