Morning Weekend Busser/Afternoon Housekeeper Friends Lake Inn Chestertown, NY 12817 Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic busser to join our dynamic team in the hospitality industry. As a busser, you will play a vital role in ensuring our restaurant runs smoothly and efficiently. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting the waitstaff, maintaining cleanliness in the dining area, and providing exceptional customer service to enhance our guests’ dining experience. Responsibilities Assist servers by clearing and resetting tables promptly after guests leave. Help maintain cleanliness in the dining area, including sweeping and mopping floors as needed. Ensure that all utensils, glassware, and plates are clean and properly stocked. Support kitchen staff by transporting food and supplies as required. Provide excellent customer service by being attentive to guests’ needs and requests. Follow all food handling and safety guidelines to ensure a safe dining environment. Collaborate with team members to create a welcoming atmosphere for guests. Qualifications Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred but not required. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Knowledge of food handling practices is a plus. A positive attitude and willingness to help others are essential traits for this role.
