The ideal candidate will assist in the preparation of meals, ensuring that all food is handled safely and meets our high standards of quality. This role is essential in supporting our culinary team and contributing to a positive dining experience for our customers. Responsibilities Assist with the preparation of ingredients for meals, including washing, chopping, and measuring food items. Follow recipes and portion control guidelines to ensure consistency and quality in meal preparation. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of food items. Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively, including knives and other food preparation tools. Adhere to food safety regulations and standards for food handling to prevent contamination. Collaborate with cooks and other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service. Help with inventory management by monitoring stock levels of ingredients and supplies. Qualifications Previous experience in food preparation or a related role within the food service industry is preferred. Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and food handling practices. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team. Familiarity with kitchen equipment, including knives and other food prep tools. A passion for cooking and a desire to learn more about the culinary field.
