  • August 15, 2025, and will be closed on July 4, 2025, for Independence Day. This placement takes place Monday
  • Friday 9:30 am
  • 3 pm.

The SFSP takes place outside on a covered patio and during inclement weather, it will move inside to the JCafé where the senior lunches are served.

Tasks include:

Providing milk and craft activities for children from 10 am

  • 11 am, providing lunch from 11 am
  • 1 pm, and offering snacks from 2 pm
  • 3 pm. During the 11 am
  • 1 pm time frame.

The employee will document how many children visit the patio for lunches and snacks daily. Setting up the patio for crafts and meals, which includes making sure the tables and chairs are wiped down, opening the patio umbrellas, filling up the water cooler, gathering utensils and supplies, setting up the hand washing station, and selecting craft activities for the day. At the end of the lunch, returning the water cooler, utensils, and other supplies to the kitchen and designated areas. At the end of the snack period, closing the patio umbrellas and propping the chairs against the patio tables. The employee will be trained on the following: Civil rights of the Summer Food Service Program. How to properly document the number of lunches and snacks served to children who visit our program site for proof of service per the SFSP federal guidelines. Communication, interpersonal skills and confidentiality among staff, children, and parents.

Essential Job duties:

While performing the above duties, this position routinely requires handling persons and/or objects and moving safely throughout the building. This position may include walking, sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching and crawling. This position requires communicating, either verbally or in writing. This position frequently requires moving items weighing up to 25 pounds. This position occasionally requires moving items weighing up to 50 pounds. Must be able to complete all essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodations. Must be able to obtain ACT 33/34 and FBI clearances and mandated reporter training.
