Cafeteria Attendant (Harrahs Philadelphia) Position Available In Delaware, Pennsylvania

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Understands and responds to internal guests needs. Communicates in a friendly, respectful and understandable manner. Politely gives consistent, timely and accurate information and finds answer when unsure. Uses outlined service behaviors when encountering guests. Meets expected service delivery times as defined by department’s service standards or as required by receiver of service or goods. Is a team player, cooperates with employees within the department as well as other departments. Speaks positively about the company, co-workers and guests. Responsible for setting up cafeteria line, displaying and serving all hot and cold food and maintaining clean and sanitary conditions. Responsible for cleanliness of food lines and assigned work area, including the employee dining room area – including, but not limited to tables, chairs, microwaves and coolers, walls and windows area. Communicates all food problems and the need for additional supplies to restaurant management. Receives food supplies and materials from food storeroom and delivers the same to the cooks. Inspects all food item deliveries and informs restaurant management of any discrepancies. Stocks all supplies needed for shift, ie, dishes, utensils, salad bar, ice bin, popcorn and bread bin. Wipes and cleans side stations. Refills linen supply and picks up dirty linen for return to Stewarding. Maintains supply of coffee and all non-alcoholic beverages. Responsible for the cleanliness of food lines and assigned work area, including wiping floors and walkways. Removes all dirty dishes and replenishes with clean supply. Ability to stand for long periods of time, up to eight hours. Must be mobile and able to travel throughout the hotel. Ability to lift large trays of food and push carts with supplies.

EDUCATION/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Ability to read and write English sufficiently to perform job
