Job Summary:
Halls Signature Events is seeking a meticulous banquet captain to supervise and manage on-site and off-site banquet events. You will provide friendly, knowledgeable and professional service with a genuine sense of Hospitality along with a desire to place the guest experience at the forefront of each encounter. Extensive food, wine and beverage knowledge are critical components for successful team members.

Banquet Captains are responsible for ensuring that banquet operations run smoothly, managing the staff, and guaranteeing we exceed the expectations of our guests. It is important that all guests who dine with us have memorable experiences filled with hospitality, delicious food and drinks, and exceptional service. The Banquet Captain is a strong leader, remaining calm in stressful situations. What you’ll do: Demonstrate expertise of all food and beverage menu items with sound knowledge of all ingredients and preparations. Consistently follow proper steps of service with efficiency and grace, while maintaining a sense of urgency. Welcome guests upon their arrival and assisting them with their seating arrangements. Collaborate with event planners/coordinators to ensure smooth execution of events Supervise event staff, including servers, bartenders and other support personnel. Manage the setup and breakdown of events, including tables, chairs, decorations, and other necessary equipment. Run the floor and coordinate the food and drink service by liaising with the kitchen and service staff. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure that food is prepared and served in accordance with customer expectations and dietary restrictions, making sure food is served promptly, efficiently and with exceptional presentation. Manage event timeline to ensure that all activities occur in a timely and well-organized manner Tend to guests’ requests, questions, and complaints. Ensure that the venue and facilities remain neat and clean. Ensure that all applicable safety regulations are communicated and adhered to.

Requirements:
What we need from you: 1+ years of experience in a guest-facing restaurant role, preferably in event planning.
