Schedule :

Primarily weekday 6hr shifts during school hours (6:00 AM – 2:30 PM) Job Summary MMG is seeking Food Service Workers to support K-12 schools throughout the Charleston, SC area. This role involves preparing and serving meals to students, processing meal transactions, and maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will be dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to providing quality food service in a school setting. Key Responsibilities Prepare and serve meals following USDA guidelines. Handle cash transactions and operate the point-of-sale system. Maintain clean and sanitary work areas, including kitchen equipment and utensils. Follow food safety regulations and proper sanitation practices. Adhere to work schedules and complete assigned cleaning tasks. Perform other duties as assigned by the Nutrition Services Manager or Assistant Manager. Qualifications & Requirements Experience in food service, cafeteria operations, or a similar role preferred Ability to handle cash transactions and learn to use a POS system Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations (Food Handler certification a plus) Customer service oriented with a positive attitude Reliable attendance and punctuality Passion for serving in an educational environment Good communication skills Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform kitchen duties Selected candidates MUST provide proof of a negative TB test prior to starting work & PASS a background check
