The shifts for a Banquet Attendant will depend on the start/end times of events, which means the persons hired for this position must have flexibility to work AM and PM shifts, weekdays and weekends. We offer Daily pay! Access up to 50% of your earned wages after every shift.
PRIMARY PURPOSE
: Perform various banquet duties while focusing on detail and quality presentation and first class customer service.
BANQUET RESPONSIBILITIES
Set-up/breakdown of banquet and meeting spaces per Banquet Event Order instructions, including tables, table complements (salt, pepper, sugar, breadsticks, etc.), table linens, table settings, center pieces, dishes, audio-visual equipment, and all other event provisions; Approaches all encounters with guests and colleagues in a friendly, service-oriented manner Reviews Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) with strong attention to detail. Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of banquet spaces, before, during and after events; Maintains constant contact with kitchen or catering staff to ensure complete effective communication between food production and food service Responsible for transporting food/beverage items to guest tables in a timely manner Inspects table place settings, including table linen, china, glass, silverware and condiments for correct placement and ensures that each element is clean, undamaged and attractive Ensures proper setting of buffet tables and other food service tables Participates in clearing and post function cleanup and garbage removal. Returns all equipment to the necessary storage location Maintains clean and orderly back areas, pre-function areas and storage areas Supervises the handling, storage, and security of all catering service and Audio Visual equipment Exhibit a positive, enthusiastic attitude committed to a teamwork effort
REQUIREMENTS 1
year experience in Food and Beverage, Catering or Hospitality related experience required Highly responsible & reliable Basic Math skills for counting and recording inventories Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment Ability to work long hours and a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team
JOB SETTING AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Employees in this position work indoors and outdoors. This position often requires long periods of standing and walking as well as frequent reaching and kneeling, pushing, pulling, carrying, lifting and moving objects 50 lbs or more. The Banquet Attendant must be able to quickly maneuver to any location in the hotel. Fluency in the English language and the ability to speak, hear, read and write are required as is the ability to work any hours/days of the week necessary to meet business requirements.
