Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Director of Food and Beverage. This position supports the Director of Food & Beverage in overseeing and managing all aspects of the food and beverage operations within an establishment. They help ensure profitability, quality standards, and guest satisfaction across all F&B outlets (restaurants, bars, banquets, room service, coffee shop, etc.). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supervision, creating beverage programs and food safety. As the Assistant Director of Food and Beverage, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of our restaurant’s food and beverage operations, working alongside culinary team to ensure high-quality service and customer satisfaction.
Duties:
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance the overall dining experience for our guests
- Oversee the daily operations of the F&B Outlets, including food and beverage quality, presentation, service and cleanliness
- Supervise restaurant and bar staff, providing guidance and training as needed
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and maintain proper food handling procedures
- Collaborate with the Food and Beverage Management Team to create menus that meet customer preferences and dietary restrictions
- Manage inventory levels and order supplies as necessary
- Monitor food costs and implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality
- Maintain a positive working relationship with vendors, ensuring timely delivery of ingredients
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends
Requirements:
- Proven experience in food service management or a similar role
- Extensive knowledge of food and beverage products, service standards, and operations (often including fine dining, banquets, and bar management).
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Proficient in using POS systems for order processing and inventory management
- A degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field is often preferred but extensive experience can sometimes substitute.
