Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for an Assistant Manager at Sweet Paris Crêperie & Café, located in an exciting new development called Nashville Yards in the heart of downtown Nashville. The Assistant Manager will support the General Manager in overseeing daily operations, supervising staff, maintaining high standards of guest service and food quality, and helping manage inventory, scheduling, and financial performance.

Essential Functions People Development:
Support the General Manager in cultivating leadership skills and operational excellence across the management team, helping uphold Sweet Paris’ brand standards and values. Lead by example by demonstrating consistent professionalism, integrity, and alignment with Sweet Paris’ mission and guest-first philosophy. Act as a hands-on mentor—dedicating time to train, coach, and support both new and tenured team members while adapting to different learning styles and motivation levels. Assist in the recruitment and onboarding process, helping to build a strong, passionate team through effective coaching, ongoing development, and employee recognition. Help enforce company policies and procedures, including attendance, appearance, and behavioral standards, while modeling compliance and accountability. Exercise sound judgment and collaborate with the GM to escalate concerns or address team and operational challenges proactively. Contribute to management development by preparing for and participating in performance discussions, ongoing feedback sessions, and progressive discipline when necessary, in alignment with company guidelines. Monitor staffing levels and help ensure efficient shift coverage and labor planning based on business needs. Assist in overseeing training programs to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality guest experiences and operational execution.
Operations Excellence:
Assist in upholding Sweet Paris’ operational standards, ensuring consistency in both front-of-house and back-of-house procedures. Support a culture of safety by ensuring team members are properly trained on health, sanitation, and food safety protocols. Help monitor equipment and facility upkeep, reporting issues promptly and supporting preventative maintenance efforts to maintain a clean, inviting, and fully functional space. Contribute to a positive, collaborative, and enjoyable work environment by modeling professionalism and fostering open communication among team members. Support the day-to-day restaurant operations by adhering to established procedures that drive efficiency, employee engagement, and guest satisfaction. Maintain knowledge of and help enforce compliance with all federal, state, and local laws, including labor regulations and alcohol service policies, as well as company-specific policies. Assist the GM with location planning, forecasting, and schedule management, while ensuring that product quality and cleanliness meet Sweet Paris standards. Delegate tasks effectively, follow up with team members to ensure completion, and provide coaching to maintain accountability and support operational excellence. Qualifications Strong leadership presence with the ability to support the General Manager in guiding daily operations and team development. Previous experience in the food service or restaurant industry, with a solid understanding of hospitality standards and expectations. Familiarity with financial principles such as budgeting, inventory management, and labor control, with a willingness to learn and grow in these areas. Genuine passion for hospitality and creating memorable experiences—for both guests and team members alike. Proven leadership skills, including the ability to motivate others, resolve conflicts calmly and professionally, and support decision-making in challenging situations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members, guests, and leadership. Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, based on business needs. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, maintaining composure and focus while multitasking and solving problems on the go. A proactive mindset with strong problem-solving abilities and a drive to step in where needed to support smooth operations. Self-motivated and eager to continue personal and professional growth within the Sweet Paris brand. At least 1 year of experience in a leadership role within the hospitality industry (AGM, Manger, or similar position).
