Meat Cutter Position Overview:

The Meat Cutter is responsible for preparing and cutting a variety of meat products while adhering to strict safety, sanitation, and quality standards. This role supports the meat department by ensuring fresh, well-stocked displays and providing excellent service to customers.

Key Responsibilities:

Cut, trim, and prepare all types and cuts of meat using knives, saws, grinders, and other tools, following proper safety procedures. Stock, rotate, and maintain meat cases to ensure product availability and freshness. Provide outstanding customer service by greeting shoppers, answering questions, and offering product recommendations. Assist customers in selecting meat products and provide information to support purchase decisions. Unload, verify, and organize incoming meat shipments. Transfer meat from coolers to prep areas and return finished cuts to proper storage. Maintain cleanliness of all work areas and sanitize equipment regularly. Follow food safety and sanitation standards consistently. Assist with training new associates when needed. Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Work Environment & Schedule:

Scheduled hours: 30-40 hours per week Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays Weekly pay Paid training provided Team-oriented environment with 11 or more employees per shift Reports to Team Lead In-store, non-remote position

Qualifications:

Prior meat cutting experience is preferred, but not required Willingness to follow all food safety, sanitation, and equipment safety guidelines Ability to lift and move heavy products Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Excellent customer service and communication skills Open to applicants without a high school diploma or college degree Military-experienced candidates encouraged to apply

$11.00 – $13.00 per hour

Schedule:
