Butcher/Meat Cutter Gallatin grocery Gallatin, TN 37066 Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Meat Cutter to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food production and have a passion for delivering high-quality meat products to our customers. As a Meat Cutter, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our meat department operates efficiently while adhering to the highest standards of food safety and quality. Duties Cut, trim, and prepare various types of meat according to specifications and customer requests. Ensure all meat products are handled safely and stored properly to maintain freshness. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the meat preparation area, including tools and equipment. Assist customers with their selections, providing excellent customer service and product knowledge. Package meat products for display and sale, ensuring attractive presentation. Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed. Follow all food safety regulations and company policies to ensure compliance. Skills Experience in food production or culinary settings is preferred. Strong knowledge of food handling practices and food safety standards. Proficient knife skills with the ability to operate cutting equipment safely. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Familiarity with the food industry, including restaurant or kitchen experience, is an advantage.
