$110k-$130k/yearly with

Role:
Seeking an experienced, professional, and highly skilled Private Chef to join a formal household in Greenwich, CT, serving an elderly couple with discerning tastes. The household operates with high expectations for quality, efficiency, and discretion, and includes a dedicated team of staff (housekeeper, companion, and driver). The Chef will be responsible for creating healthy, low-fat, low-salt, and low-pepper meals across all cuisines, tailored to the couple’s preferences. The ideal candidate is polished, friendly, non-obtrusive, and highly trustworthy, with a warm personality that complements the household’s collaborative and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities Meal Planning and Preparation:
Plan, purchase, and prepare daily lunch (1:30 PM) and dinner (6:30 PM) for the couple, focusing on healthy, low-fat, low-salt, and low-pepper cuisine without sauces, tailored to their dietary needs and preferences
Kitchen Management:
Oversee all kitchen operations, including sourcing high-quality ingredients, maintaining pantry inventory, and ensuring a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment.
Cleaning:
Thoroughly clean the kitchen after each meal, maintaining a pristine workspace (supported by a housekeeper for general household duties).
Safety Compliance:
Ensure kitchen safety to prevent risks of slips, falls, fires, and electrical hazards, promptly reporting any issues to the principals.
Team Collaboration:
Work harmoniously with the household staff (housekeeper, CNA, Personal Assistant, and driver) to maintain a warm, inviting, and professional environment.
Ambiance:
Contribute to a welcoming atmosphere for the principals and staff through a professional and engaging demeanor.
Qualifications:
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years as a professional Chef, with experience working in fine homes or high-end private residences.
Education:
Culinary training from a recognized institution.
Skills and Attributes:
Expertise in healthy, simple, no-sauce, low-fat, low-salt, and low-pepper cooking across various cuisines.
Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Professional, capable, and self-confident with a warm, friendly, and non-obtrusive personality.
Highly proactive, resourceful, and able to problem-solve with minimal oversight.
Ability to maintain composure in a high-performance, formal environment.
High level of discretion, loyalty, and integrity.
Hands-on work style, willing to perform all duties, including cleaning.
Ability to collaborate effectively with a small household team, including a companion who provides personal assistance to the principals.
Additional Requirements:
Non-smoker
Valid driver’s license for purchasing ingredients and supplies (preferred but not required).
Ability to adhere to a Confidentiality Agreement and pass a full background check.
