Chef Assistant Maple and Cream 375 North University Drive, Plantation, FL 33324 Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Chef’s Assistant to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be eager and willing to learn. They will assist in meal preparation, garde manger, plating, prep and ensure that all food safety standards are met within our kitchen. This role is perfect for individuals looking to launch and advance their culinary skills in a dynamic restaurant environment. All while working and training under a talented Michelin starred chef. Duties Assist the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations, including meal preparation and cooking. Ensure all food handling and safety guidelines are strictly followed. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including proper storage of food items. Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives and other culinary tools. Support the team during peak service times to ensure timely meal delivery. Complete all tasks assigned by the Executive Chef Qualifications Previous experience in food service or culinary roles is preferred but not required Knowledge of food safety regulations and practices is essential. Strong knife skills and proficiency in various cooking methods is preferred. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset. A passion for the food industry and a desire to learn and grow within the culinary field.
