Chef de Cuisine Sip Smooth Co Lauderdale Lakes, FL 33313 Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and skilled Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Spanish food, service management and a creative flair for menu planning. As a Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food preparation, and maintaining a positive dining experience for our guests. This role requires excellent team management skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Plan and create innovative menus that cater to various dietary preferences and seasonal ingredients. Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring that all food is prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation. Manage inventory effectively, including ordering supplies and minimizing waste. Train, supervise, and mentor kitchen staff to enhance their skills and ensure efficient teamwork. Collaborate with banquet coordinators to prepare meals for events and special occasions. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen in compliance with health regulations. Assist with bartending duties as needed during events or peak service times. Skills Proven experience in a Chef role or similar position within the food service industry. Strong knowledge of food service management principles, including inventory management and cost control. Excellent menu planning skills with an eye for detail in presentation. Ability to lead and motivate a team in a high-pressure environment. Familiarity with banquet service operations is preferred. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with staff and guests. A passion for cooking and creating memorable dining experiences for customers.
