Role Summary:
We’re hiring a dedicated and motivated Chef / Line Cook to join our opening team full-time. You’ll be working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where consistency, cleanliness, and creativity are key. This is more than a cooking job—it’s a chance to be part of a new brand from the ground up.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and execute dishes according to Tasty Roots’ recipes and standards
- Maintain high levels of cleanliness, food safety, and station organization
- Participate in daily prep and production, including sauces, proteins, vegetables, etc.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely and high-quality service
- Provide input on improvements and contribute to the kitchen’s efficiency and creativity
- Uphold presentation and portioning standards for every dish
- (Preferred) Assist with basic coffee and smoothie preparation when needed
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a professional kitchen preferred
- Barista experience is a plus
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to work under pressure
- Understanding of basic cooking techniques and food safety practices
- Passion for healthy, flavorful food
