Responsibilities Prepare and present a variety of sushi dishes according to traditional recipes and modern techniques. Ensure the highest quality of ingredients are used, maintaining freshness and flavor in all dishes. Work collaboratively with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sushi station, adhering to food safety regulations. Assist in menu planning and development, contributing creative ideas for new sushi offerings. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff on sushi preparation techniques and food handling practices. Monitor inventory levels of sushi ingredients and communicate needs to management for ordering supplies. Qualifications Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or in a similar culinary role within a restaurant setting. Strong knife skills and proficiency in various cooking techniques related to sushi preparation. Knowledge of food handling regulations and dietary requirements is essential. Experience in catering or working within a dietary department is a plus. Culinary degree or relevant certification is preferred but not mandatory.
