The ideal candidate will have experience in fine dining and a strong understanding of Japanese cuisine. As a Sushi Chef, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality sushi dishes while ensuring the highest standards of food safety and presentation. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced kitchen environment and is dedicated to delivering exceptional dining experiences. Responsibilities Prepare and present sushi dishes with precision and creativity, adhering to the restaurant’s standards. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and sushi preparation areas. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and efficient workflow. Assist in menu development, including seasonal specials and catering options. Monitor inventory levels of ingredients, placing orders as necessary to ensure freshness. Uphold food safety regulations and sanitation standards throughout all food preparation processes. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff on sushi preparation techniques and culinary skills. Skills Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or in a similar role within the restaurant or food service industry. Strong knife skills with an emphasis on precision cutting techniques. Knowledge of various sushi styles, including nigiri, sashimi, and maki rolls. Familiarity with culinary techniques related to food preparation, plating, and presentation. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
