Job Description

Head Chef St James Bay Golf & Pickleball Resort 151 Laughing Gull Lane, Carrabelle, FL 32322 Is it off season at your restaurant? We have 2 Month assignment for Chef $5,000 per Month Luxury Housing Provided for your 2 months stay. Possible long-term position. Duties You will be the main Cook charged with leading the kitchen team in preparing high-quality dishes that meet our restaurant’s standards. Develop and design innovative menus that reflect current culinary trends while considering customer preferences. Create Core Cards for menu items with ingredients and cost for each menu item. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment. Manage inventory effectively, including ordering supplies, tracking stock levels, and minimizing waste. Train and mentor kitchen staff on culinary techniques, food handling practices, and safety protocols. Ensure all state/county forms and training are completed. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction. Monitor food production processes to maintain consistency in taste, presentation, and quality. Handle any kitchen-related issues or emergencies with professionalism and efficiency. Experience Proven experience as a Head Chef/Kitchen Manager Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety standards, and hospitality practices. Demonstrated ability to manage a team effectively while fostering a positive work culture. Experience in menu planning and development with an emphasis on creativity and seasonal ingredients. Familiarity with inventory management systems and cost control measures.
