Summary The Banquet Chef will oversee the preparation, cooking, and presentation of food for all catered events. You will work with the Event Manager and the team of cooks to ensure quality control, and coordinate with event planners to execute menus to exact client specifications. This role demands excellent organizational skills, culinary expertise, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, off-site event environment. Responsibilities Prepare and cook menu items for banquets and events according to established recipes and standards. Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner to meet event schedules. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations. Manage kitchen logistics including prep timelines, packing, and transport Troubleshoot issues on-site and ensure client satisfaction at all times Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during events. Adhere to food safety regulations and maintain high hygiene standards. Requirements Proven experience as a cook in a banquet or catering environment. Strong knowledge of cooking techniques and food preparation methods. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to lead when necessary. Familiarity with kitchen management practices is a plus.
