Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dough Mixer / Pastry Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate is passionate about fermentation, understands dough development, and takes pride in producing high-quality pastry items.
Key Responsibilities:
Mix and develop a variety of doughs, with a strong focus on sourdough and other naturally leavened breads Execute daily production of pastries, laminated doughs, and seasonal baked goods Follow precise recipes and techniques to maintain consistency Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient prep and baking area Collaborate with the pastry and culinary team to support daily service and special projects Assist in inventory, prep lists, and proper storage/labeling of products
Requirements:
1+ year of professional experience in a bakery or pastry kitchen (preferred) Hands-on experience with sourdough, dough mixing, fermentation, and pastry production Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to work early morning hours Team-oriented with good communication and time management skills
