As a Pastry Cook, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional baked goods that enhance our menu offerings. Responsibilities Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, desserts, and breads according to established recipes and standards. Decorate cakes and pastries with artistic flair, ensuring presentation meets the restaurant’s quality standards. Collaborate with the kitchen team to plan and execute dessert menus for catering events and daily service. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry station, adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines. Monitor inventory levels of baking ingredients and supplies; assist in ordering when necessary. Experiment with new recipes and techniques to enhance the dessert menu offerings. Assist in training junior kitchen staff on pastry techniques and food handling practices. Qualifications Proven experience as a Pastry Cook or similar role in the food industry, preferably within a restaurant or catering environment. Strong skills in cake decorating, food preparation, and baking techniques. Knowledge of food handling safety regulations and best practices. Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards. Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. A creative mindset with a passion for pastry arts. Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
