The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Peruvian cuisine and a commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences. This role involves preparing traditional dishes, ensuring high standards of food quality, and contributing to menu planning for both fine dining and catering services. Duties Prepare and cook authentic Peruvian dishes, ensuring adherence to recipes and presentation standards. Collaborate with the culinary team in menu planning, incorporating seasonal ingredients and innovative techniques. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, adhering to food handling and safety regulations. Assist in catering events, providing high-quality food service in various settings. Work closely with the dietary department to accommodate special dietary needs and preferences. Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as necessary to ensure kitchen efficiency. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative work environment. Qualifications Proven experience as a cook or chef in a restaurant or catering environment, with a focus on Peruvian cuisine preferred. Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food handling practices, and safety regulations. Experience in menu planning for fine dining settings is highly desirable. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team. A passion for culinary arts and a desire to continuously learn and improve skills.
