We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Lead Pastry Developer to join our dynamic team in the hospitality industry. This unique role combines culinary skills with leadership and innovation, providing an exciting opportunity for those passionate about pastry and looking to make an impact in a non-traditional setting. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 8+ years of experience in a similar role, a deep understanding of culinary trends and techniques, and a proven track record of leadership. This role offers an opportunity to apply culinary creativity to a corporate setting, and to contribute to the overall success of our team by creating high-quality pastries that delight our clients and employees alike.

Responsibilities:

Lead the ideation, development, and execution of innovative pastry concepts from concept to commercialization on a scheduled basis for varying markets and product launches. Collaborate with other departments to create pastries that complement our company’s services and events. Oversee the production of all pastries, ensuring consistency and quality. Create and implement new recipes and techniques to continuously improve our pastry offerings. Train and mentor team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement. Manage inventory and sourcing of high-quality ingredients. Stay informed about emerging culinary techniques, ingredients, and industry trends to continuously inspire and innovate. Ensure compliance with food hygiene and health and safety standards.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 8+ years of experience in a professional pastry development role. Culinary degree or equivalent experience is preferred. Proven leadership skills with the ability to train and mentor Exceptional culinary skills, with a focus on pastry development. Strong understanding of the latest culinary trends and techniques. Ability to innovate and think creatively, developing unique and delicious pastries. Excellent time management skills, with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines. Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with other departments. Knowledge of food hygiene and health and safety standards. Passion for pastry and a commitment to creating high-quality products.
