Pastry Chef Instructor 2.7 2.7 out of 5 stars West Miami, FL 33144 We are seeking a passionate and experienced Pastry Chef to join our faculty. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pastry and baking arts, with a flair for Latin and international pastries. This role involves instructing students in both the theoretical and practical aspects of pastry arts, preparing them for successful careers in the culinary industry Responsibilities Deliver dynamic, hands-on instruction in Pastry Arts. Teach and demonstrate advanced techniques, including plated desserts, artisan breads, chocolate artistry, sugar work, and specialty pastries. Develop and continuously update curriculum to reflect current industry standards and trends. Decorate cakes and pastries creatively, adhering to customer specifications. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, following food safety regulations. Collaborate with faculty on program enhancement and cross-disciplinary projects. Provide excellent customer service, addressing any inquiries or special requests. Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with industry innovation. Qualifications Associate or Bachelors degree in Culinary or Pastry Arts required. Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in the pastry industry, with strong exposure to modern techniques and trends. Excellent knife skills and knowledge of food handling protocols Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Expertise in contemporary pastry artistry and dessert presentation.
