Required Years of Experience 3 years Job Details Major Food Group, the team that brought you Carbone, is now hiring talented and passionate Sous Chefs to join our team at Contessa! Contessa, inspired by the old-world resorts and the lasting estates of Italy, features cuisine embodying the effortless elegance of the Trattorias of Northern Italy. Offering all-day dining with breakfast, lunch, brunch, dinner and perfectly crafted cocktails, the menus showcase a range of selections from imported salumi and house made fresh pasta to dry aged Chianina Beef. Our ideal candidates who will assist in carrying our culture, standards of service, and quality of food to the new location. While comparable experience is preferable, any individual with passion and love for people, food, and wine will certainly be welcomed.

Experience in Michelin starred restaurants is preferred.

Responsibilities:

Preparing meals and food to meet the specifications of guests in a timely manner
Properly measuring kitchen ingredients and food portions
Ensuring kitchen staff adhere to set standards, procedures, department rules and sanitation requirements
Using kitchen knives and equipment such as grills, ovens, steamers and warmers in food preparation
Managing the kitchen inventory and ensuring supplies are fresh and of high quality
Ensuring proper food temperatures when cooking and proper storage afterward
Keeping the workstation and kitchen equipment clean, organized and sanitized
Taking charge of kitchen opening, closing and other side duties as directed by the

Executive Chef Requirements:

3 to 5 years of progressive culinary experience.
Michelin Rated/Fine Dining restaurant experience is preferred.
Proven ability in teaching and mentoring employees
Outstanding communication and supervisory skills
Self motivated and demonstrates quick thinking
