The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Japanese cuisine, particularly sushi preparation, and a commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences. As a Sushi Chef, you will play a crucial role in menu planning and food preparation, ensuring that each dish meets our high standards of quality and presentation. Duties Prepare and present a variety of sushi dishes, including nigiri, sashimi, and rolls, with precision and creativity. Collaborate with the culinary team to develop innovative menu items that reflect seasonal ingredients and customer preferences. Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in accordance with health regulations. Manage inventory and ensure the freshness of all ingredients used in sushi preparation. Assist in training kitchen staff on sushi techniques and food preparation methods. Monitor kitchen operations to ensure efficiency and quality control during service. Provide excellent customer service by interacting with guests when necessary, sharing knowledge about sushi offerings. Requirements Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or in a similar role within a fine dining or high-quality restaurant setting. Strong skills in food preparation, menu planning, and culinary techniques specific to Japanese cuisine. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food service. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate with other kitchen staff. A passion for culinary arts and dedication to creating memorable dining experiences for guests. Previous experience in catering or dietary departments is a plus but not required.
