The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pastry preparation, demonstrating creativity and attention to detail. You will be responsible for creating a variety of pastries, desserts, and baked goods that meet our high standards of quality and presentation. Your expertise in food safety and handling will ensure that all products are prepared in a clean and efficient manner. Duties Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, desserts, and baked goods according to recipes and specifications. Ensure all ingredients are fresh and properly stored, adhering to food safety guidelines. Package finished products for service or sale, maintaining quality and presentation standards. Collaborate with kitchen staff to plan menus and create new dessert offerings. Maintain a clean and organized kitchen workspace, following sanitation protocols. Operate kitchen equipment safely, including ovens, mixers, and knives. Assist in catering events as needed, providing high-quality pastry items for various occasions. Qualifications Proven experience as a Pastry Cook or similar role in a restaurant or catering environment. Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and food safety practices. Proficiency in using kitchen tools and equipment safely, including knives. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. A passion for baking and creating innovative pastry items is highly desirable.
