Pastry Chef CDS Riviera Beach, FL 33404 Overview CD Staffing is seeking a talented and passionate Pastry Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and production, with a focus on creating exquisite pastries and desserts. This role requires creativity, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality baked goods that delight our guests. Duties Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, cakes, and desserts according to established recipes and standards. Decorate cakes and pastries with artistic flair, ensuring presentation meets the restaurant’s high standards. Assist in the planning and execution of seasonal menus featuring innovative pastry options. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry station, adhering to food safety and handling guidelines. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service and quality control during food production. Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as necessary to ensure availability. Stay updated on industry trends in pastry techniques and flavor profiles to continually enhance offerings. Experience Proven experience as a Pastry Cook or in a similar role within a restaurant or culinary environment. Strong skills in food preparation, baking techniques, and cake decorating. Knowledge of food handling practices and culinary safety standards. Proficiency with kitchen tools, including knives and baking equipment. A creative mindset with the ability to develop new dessert ideas that align with customer preferences. Culinary degree or relevant certification is preferred but not required.
