The ideal candidate will assist in the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes while ensuring the kitchen operates smoothly. The Assistant Chef will play a crucial role in menu planning and supporting the dietary department’s initiatives. Duties Assist the Head Chef in preparing and cooking meals according to established recipes and standards. Participate in menu planning, ensuring a variety of nutritious options are available for guests. Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient food preparation and service. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, adhering to health and safety regulations. Collaborate with the dietary department to accommodate special dietary needs and preferences. Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist in ordering as necessary. Contribute creative ideas for new dishes or improvements to existing recipes. Ensure all food is presented attractively and meets quality standards before serving. Experience Previous experience in a culinary role within the food service or restaurant industry is preferred. Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, food safety practices, and kitchen equipment operation. Experience in menu planning and understanding dietary requirements is a plus. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to supervise staff effectively. Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to working within a team environment.
