Pantry Chef Confindential 1944 Hillview Street, Sarasota, FL 34239 Overview We are seeking a talented and passionate Pantry Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the food industry, particularly in menu planning and food preparation. As a Pantry Chef, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly by preparing ingredients, maintaining inventory, and assisting with meal preparation for various events and services. Your creativity and attention to detail will help elevate our dining experience. Responsibilities Plan and prepare menus in collaboration with the head chef and kitchen staff. Execute food preparation tasks, including chopping, slicing, and marinating ingredients. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pantry area, ensuring all food items are stored properly. Assist with catering events by preparing large quantities of food as needed. Monitor inventory levels of pantry supplies and communicate needs to management. Ensure all food safety standards are followed during food preparation and storage. Help train and mentor junior kitchen staff in proper food handling techniques. Collaborate with other kitchen team members to ensure timely meal service. Qualifications Previous experience in a restaurant or catering environment is preferred. Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen operations. Experience with menu planning and ingredient sourcing is a plus. Proficiency with kitchen tools, including knives and other food preparation equipment. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality.
