Tuscan Gardens of Venetia Bay is seeking a dedicated and passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The Sous Chef will play a vital role in assisting the Food Service Manager with various kitchen operations, including cooking, food preparation, and maintaining high standards of food quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Food Service Manager in daily kitchen operations and menu planning
• Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in accordance with established recipes and standards
• Oversee food preparation and ensure that all meals are prepared in a timely manner
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and food storage areas
• Monitor food inventory and assist in ordering supplies as needed
• Train and mentor kitchen staff to ensure adherence to food safety and sanitation standards
• Collaborate with the culinary team to create innovative and seasonal menu items
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the kitchen

Skills and Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar culinary role
• Strong knowledge of cooking techniques and food safety practices
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Creativity and passion for culinary arts
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
