Artisan Ice Cream maker Sweet Alps ice cream The Villages, FL 32159 Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and passionate Ice cream chef/maker to join our culinary team in Summerfield (close to Spanish Spring). The job includes the preparation of making ice cream and ice cream sandwiches, take care of the ice cream machine. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the food industry, particularly in pastry production. This role requires attention to detail, creativity, and a commitment to delivering exceptional desserts that delight our customers. As a Pastry Cook – Ice cream Maker, you will play a vital role in our Ice cream success by crafting high-quality pastries and frozen desserts that enhance our menu offerings. Responsibilities Produce the ice cream for our four stores Prepare and mix ingredients according to established recipes and standards Ensuring presentation meets our quality expectations. Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new dessert recipes and menu items. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry & ice cream station, adhering to food safety standards. Assist in inventory management by monitoring ingredient supplies and placing orders as needed. Qualifications Proven experience as a pastry chef in a bakery or food production environment, with a focus on pastry or ice cream. Strong knowledge of pastry techniques and culinary principles. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards. Excellent knife skills and familiarity with various kitchen equipment. Strong attention to detail and creativity in presenting desserts. Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
