The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the food industry and possess excellent culinary skills. As an Assistant Chef, you will support the Head Chef in preparing high-quality dishes, managing kitchen operations, and ensuring that all food safety standards are met. This role is perfect for individuals looking to advance their culinary career in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Assist the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations, including meal preparation and cooking. Help with menu planning and develop creative recipes that adhere to dietary requirements. Manage inventory control and ensure proper food handling practices are followed. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including equipment and storage areas. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during busy periods. Participate in training new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols. Support banquet services and special events as needed, including bartending duties if required. Monitor food quality and presentation to uphold the establishment’s standards. Requirements Proven experience in a culinary role within the food industry; previous experience as an Assistant Chef is preferred. Strong knowledge of inventory management and control practices. Familiarity with food handling regulations and safety standards. Excellent team management skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Creative mindset with a passion for menu planning and culinary innovation. Experience working in a dietary department is a plus. Bartending experience is considered an asset for event support.
