North Point Court, Alpharetta, GA 30022 Sushi Chef Job Description Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and passionate Sushi Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Japanese cuisine, particularly in sushi preparation, and will be responsible for creating high-quality sushi dishes that meet our restaurant’s standards. This role requires attention to detail, creativity, and a commitment to food safety and hygiene. Responsibilities Prepare and present a variety of sushi dishes in accordance with restaurant recipes and standards. Ensure the freshness and quality of all ingredients used in sushi preparation. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sushi station, including proper food handling practices. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service. Assist in menu development by suggesting new sushi items or seasonal specialties. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff on sushi techniques and food safety practices. Monitor inventory levels of sushi ingredients and assist with ordering supplies as needed. Experience Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or in a similar culinary role within a restaurant setting. Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, particularly in food preparation, knife skills, and food handling. Familiarity with dietary restrictions and the ability to accommodate various dietary needs when preparing meals. Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. A passion for culinary arts, especially Japanese cuisine, with a willingness to learn and grow within the role.
