The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the food industry, particularly in food handling and safety practices. As a Sushi Roller, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality sushi rolls that meet our standards for taste and presentation. This role requires attention to detail, creativity, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Duties Prepare sushi rice and other ingredients according to established recipes and standards. Roll sushi using various techniques while ensuring consistency in size and presentation. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sushi station and kitchen area. Adhere to food safety guidelines to ensure the quality and safety of all products served. Assist with inventory management by monitoring ingredient levels and notifying management when supplies are low. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation of orders during peak hours. Participate in training sessions for new staff on sushi preparation techniques and food safety practices. Requirements Previous experience in the food industry, particularly in a restaurant or catering environment, is preferred. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for handling ingredients. Familiarity with dietary department standards is a plus. Ability to work efficiently in a kitchen setting while maintaining high-quality standards. Strong knife skills and proficiency in using kitchen equipment related to sushi preparation. Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
