Banquet Chef ( Production Kitchen) Nourish Food Services Loganville, GA 30052 Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and passionate Banquet or Catering Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and presenting daily lunch for accounts throughout the greater Atlanta area, ensuring that all food is prepared in accordance with food safety standards. This role requires a strong understanding of kitchen management and food production, as well as the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment. Duties Prepare and cook a variety of menu items for banquets and special events, ensuring consistency in taste and presentation. Assist in the planning and development of catering menus, taking into consideration dietary restrictions and preferences. Lead, train, and manage a culinary team Maintain high standards of food safety and sanitation in accordance with health regulations. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow during busy service periods. Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed to maintain stock. Support the team by helping with kitchen management tasks, including training new staff members when necessary. Ensure all equipment is cleaned and maintained properly after use. Qualifications Proven experience in a kitchen environment, preferably within the food industry or restaurant setting. Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations. Experience in food production and preparation techniques, particularly for large-scale events. Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also demonstrating leadership skills when required. Familiarity with dietary department operations is a plus. Previous experience in bartending is beneficial but not required. Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
