This position is responsible for guiding and supervising the pastry team, maintaining a clean and safe work environment, and delivering exceptional customer service. Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the pastry team, ensuring productivity, professionalism, and adherence to company policies. Maintain high standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and organization across all areas, including shelves, refrigerators, and preparation stations. Ensure all pastries and desserts meet established quality, quantity, and presentation standards; promptly report any discrepancies to the Bakery Manager. Provide hands-on training, support, and motivation to team members, fostering a positive and productive work environment. Enforce Ideal Market?s safety and quality standards to minimize risks and prevent workplace accidents. Ensure timely production of cakes, desserts, flans, jellies, and other specialty items during peak and regular hours. Follow established Ideal Market recipes and preparation methods consistently. Decorate cakes and other baked goods with creativity and precision, including custom designs for special occasions such as birthdays and weddings. Inspect finished products for quality and remove any items that do not meet Ideal Market standards before display. Deliver outstanding customer service and address customer inquiries or concerns with professionalism and care. Assist with inventory control, cost management, and waste reduction as needed. Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
