Head Chef Dolce Amici Norway, ME 04268 Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. The Head Chef will be responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation, and managing a team of cooks and kitchen staff. This role requires a strong background in food service management and culinary arts, along with the ability to create innovative menus that reflect our restaurant’s vision. Duties Oversee daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation. Develop and design creative menus that meet customer preferences while adhering to budgetary constraints. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and sanitation practices. Manage inventory levels, ordering supplies as needed to maintain a well-stocked kitchen. Train, mentor, and supervise kitchen staff to foster a collaborative and efficient work environment. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service during peak hours. Monitor food quality and consistency to maintain high standards in every dish served. Plan and execute special events or banquets as required. Skills Strong knowledge of food handling practices and culinary techniques. Proven experience as a cook or chef in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Excellent team management skills with the ability to lead and motivate staff effectively. Experience in food service management, including budgeting and cost control. Background in the food industry with a focus on food production processes. Bartending experience is a plus for establishments that serve beverages alongside meals. Exceptional leadership qualities with the ability to inspire creativity within the team. Knowledge of banquet preparation and execution is beneficial.
