Summary We are seeking a talented Chef /Cook to join our culinary team at The Villas of Jackson. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing food production and ensuring that our residents receive nutritious and delicious meals that cater to their dietary needs. Your leadership will play a vital role in maintaining the high standards of our dining experience. Responsibilities Plan and prepare nutritious meals that meet the dietary requirements of residents. Supervise kitchen staff and manage daily operations of the culinary department. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of cleanliness. Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies and minimizing waste. Collaborate with dietary staff to accommodate special dietary needs and preferences. Oversee catering for special events and banquets within the facility. Train and mentor kitchen staff to enhance their skills and performance.

Qualifications:

Culinary experience required; formal culinary training is a plus Experience in healthcare, assisted living, or a similar environment preferred Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices Ability to work independently and as part of a team Compassionate and respectful attitude toward seniors Servsafe certification Proven experience in the food industry, preferably in a senior living or healthcare setting. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively. Knowledge of food production techniques and dietary requirements for seniors. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in food presentation. Ability to work collaboratively with other departments to ensure resident satisfaction.
