Hibachi Chef Osaka Japanese Restaurant 121 Market Street, Flowood, MS 39232 Overview We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fine dining and restaurant operations, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering exceptional food experiences. As a Chef, you will play a crucial role in menu development, food preparation, and maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. Responsibilities Develop and design innovative menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and culinary trends. Oversee all aspects of food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure quality standards are met. Manage kitchen operations, including inventory management, food handling practices, and adherence to health regulations. Collaborate with the dietary department to accommodate special dietary needs and preferences of guests. Supervise kitchen staff, providing training and support to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality output. Assist in catering events and banquets, ensuring timely delivery of exceptional food service. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, ensuring compliance with safety standards. Participate in menu tastings and provide feedback for continuous improvement. Experience Proven experience as a Chef in a fine dining or high-volume restaurant setting is preferred. Strong knowledge of food handling procedures and safety regulations. Experience in food service management, including inventory control and cost management. Familiarity with catering services and banquet operations is a plus. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
