The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting the Executive Chef in food preparation, menu planning, and maintaining kitchen operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in this area. Knowledge of using eastern spices is a plus. Responsibilities Assist the Executive Chef in preparing and cooking high-quality vegetarian dishes according to established recipes and standards. Help with menu planning, ensuring a diverse and appealing selection of meals that meet customer preferences. Maintain food safety standards by adhering to proper sanitation practices and ensuring kitchen cleanliness. Support inventory control by monitoring stock levels, assisting with ordering supplies, and minimizing waste. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient food production and timely service during peak hours. Participate in training new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols. Experience Previous experience in food service or culinary roles is required, with a strong understanding of kitchen operations. Knowledge of eastern spices is desired. Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices is essential for maintaining a safe working environment. Experience in menu planning and inventory control will be considered an asset. A background in bartending is a plus but not mandatory. Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment are crucial for success in this role.
