Position Summary:

A Catering Chef is responsible for preparing, and executing high-quality food for events such as weddings, corporate functions, parties, and other gatherings. This role involves overseeing all aspects of the catering kitchen, including food preparation, cooking food, and ensuring food safety and quality standards are met.

Key Responsibilities:

Food Preparation & Presentation Prepare food in large quantities while maintaining consistency and quality. Ensure food is presented attractively and meets the event’s service style (buffet, plated, etc.). Event Execution Coordinate with event staff and ensure timely delivery, setup, and service of food at event venues. Troubleshoot any last-minute kitchen or service issues during events. Kitchen Management Supervise catering kitchen staff and delegate tasks effectively. Maintain inventory, order supplies, and manage food costs. Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Culinary degree or equivalent professional experience in catering or high-volume food production. Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple events simultaneously. Leadership and team management experience. Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Job Types:

$20.00 – $30.00 per hour Expected hours: 25 – 40 per week
